Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Confirm That They Eloped!

It’s official now! Well, technically I guess that it’s been official for a few days now, but according to MTV, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have revealed to US Magazine that they exchanged vows in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last Thursday.

It’s reported that Spencer’s vows went something like this:

Heidi, from the moment you came into my life, I knew my life would never be the same without you. You are the light in my life like the sun to the Earth! Your loving warmth makes me want to be a better person. Being with you, I feel complete. I’m honored to even be able to call you my wife. You are the most amazing, loving and caring woman on this planet. I will love you forever and always.

This news conveniently falls upon our ears hours before a fresh episode of The Hills. Speidi sure knows how to work the press, huh!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Audrina Patridge’s Dental Secret?

This week on The Hills, some significant events transpired. Heidi got fired from Bolthouse for drinking on the job and inviting Spencer to an event that she was supposed to be working. Audrina moved into her own spacious Hollywood crib and left the door open for Justin Bobby to move in if he so pleases. We found out that Spencer is a fan of Justin Bobby’s.

But I gotta know if you caught a glimpse of the tube of Crest Whitening Toothpaste that Audrina flashed at the camera while she was packing – very effective product integration. After all, if anyone is a prototype of the benefits of consistent dental hygiene, it’s Audrina!

And it’s not just the camera that makes her chompers blingingly white – when I chatted with her at last season’s Hills finale, I couldn’t help being entranced by them.

Getting back to the episode’s action, do you think that Heidi and ex-boss Brent will make up, or did Spencer completely ruin any chances of his fiance regaining integrity in the workplace? And with Heidi out, do you think that Elodie might be interested in joining back up with Bolthouse?

Is There A “Hills” Movie In The Works?

In an interview with MTV News, Audrina Patridge (she of the blindingly white smile), speaks as freely as she probably can legally about a few timely topics:

1) Will there be a Hills movie?
2) Will The Hills continue for a fifth season?
3) Will Audrina get her own spin-off a la Whitney?

While she doesn’t give a definite answer to any of these questions, she seems to be less than enthusiastic about the potential for a big screen adaptation of the Hills. I, too think that the franchise works better as an easy-riding TV series than a major motion picture event, but maybe I could be convinced to check out a flick with Lauren, Heidi, and the gang if they promised to feature something dramatic like a final showdown between Spencer and Heidi’s father!

Here’s Audrina’s interview:

Brandy Previews New Track On “The Hills”

This week on The Hills, we were treated to a cameo by Grammy winner Brandy! She was on the show for a single scene towards the conclusion of the episode – as a part of her gig at Sony BMG, Audrina assisted Brandy at Darkchild Studios while she selected the cover for her upcoming album.

The episode used Brandy’s scene as a vehicle for Audrina and on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby to display the staccato manner of their love affair. As Audrina stepped out of the studio to hash things out with Justin, the show spliced in clips of Brandy belting out a new tune of hers – the lyrics of which “coincidentally” underscored the emotional depth of Audrina and Justin’s conversation.

Brandy’s abbreviated appearance was the highlight of the episode for me. After all, she was my very first celebrity crush, and when she and Monica dropped “The Boy Is Mine” in 1998, I fantasized that the two songstresses were arguing over me!

10 years later, and her beauty is still arresting! If you don’t believe me, have a look below at the video for her latest track “Right Here (Departed)”, and tell me I’m tripping!

“Entourage” Plays Nice With “The Hills”

When Whitney Port from The Hills cameoed (not a real word) on the latest episode of Entourage, a double-take was necessary!

How the most career-driven woman of The Hills cast managed to snag a couple of lines in one of my most enjoyable TV obsessions is beyond me. But I like it!

Whitney was playing a version of herself as a stylist’s assistant, and her brief appearance wasn’t hyped up; the show just slipped it on in there.

While her role wasn’t pivotal in the realm of the episode, I applaud Entourage for shaking simple things up and for treating us viewers to some, “Hey, isn’t that…?” moments to keep us alert. Who knew that when scripted Hollywood and Hollywood reality TV collided on camera, it could be so seamless!

Whitney Port Leaves “The Hills” For Her Own Spinoff

Whitney Port heads to The City

Whitney Port heads to "The City"

We all knew it was bound to happen! MTV has confirmed that Whitney Port – known for being Lauren Conrad’s patient co-worker on The Hills – has been given her own spinoff titled The City. Here’s an excerpt from an MTV press release issued today that gives us an idea of what we have to look forward to in ’09:

With a great new job at global design house, Diane Von Furstenberg, a best friend from her past and a guy she’s head-over-heels for, Whitney is taking a huge chance at a brand new life.  Surrounded by all new friends, pursuing a fresh love life, and starting to work in the upper echelon of the fashion industry is a lot to navigate for a new girl in the big city… especially one who has everything to lose.  In a city full of people with their own agendas, Whitney will have to quickly decide who she can trust and who to stay away from.

I say kudos to Whitney. She’s always come across as one of the more grounded and career-driven Hills cast members, and doesn’t anyone who can shake off the embarrassment of falling down a flight of stairs live on Good Morning America deserve her own series?
