Moments before stepping onstage for his MySpace Music Release Show in LA, R&B singer/producer Ryan Leslie poured some knowledge into the Talk of Fame mic.

His primary advice to other artists? Utilize digital outlets in addition to traditional media to distribute your music to the masses.

With a resume that includes credits with Beyonce, Musiq Soulchild, Britney Spears, and a Harvard degree, I’m thinking that Ryan might know what he’s talking about – hehe!

As P. Diddy continues his search for the next great recording artist on MTV’s Starmaker, he enlists the skills of American Idol alum Kimberly Caldwell to host the program and music manager Johnny Wright (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, etc.) to mentor the contestants.

Here, Kimberly discusses the kind of talent that Starmaker seeks to nourish, and Johnny insists that the show isn’t a karaoke competition – sounds familiar, eh?

The gorgeous lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger has been on tour with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, recorded with P. Diddy, and topped the charts several times with her bandmates, but she still felt pressured to be cautious during her stint as a guest judge on the talent competition P. Diddy’s Starmaker.

For almost 2 years, Britney Spears‘ “Radar” has been patiently waiting to be recognized as the ubiquitous jam that it desires to be. It immediately stood out as a highlight on Britney’s Blackout album, but when Britney’s camp neglected to release as a single, I feared that we’d lost it as a potential radio smash.

When “Radar” popped up again as a bonus track on Circus, I was slightly confused but hopeful that the song might see the light of day. So it is with much relief that I share with you the official “Radar” music video!

When you’re Britney Spears, it’s tough to give your fans everything they crave in the course of a couple hours, but I’ve gotta give Team Britney props for pulling off some smart moves throughout the night that showcased why a decade later, Britney’s still deserving of her pop crown!
