Celebrating At The ‘Dance Crew’ Season 5 Finale

Season 5 of America’s Best Dance Crew culminated in a breath-bating battle to the end with California’s Poreotix edging out Canada’s Blueprint Cru by a hair.

Following the finale, I grabbed a few moments with some of the talented folks who made this season a nail-biter like Poreotix, Blueprint, Lil Mama, Omarion and Exec. Producer Randy Jackson.

Check out extended interviews from the night – including a special one with Glee cast-member Harry Shum. Continued –>

Jumping Rope With ‘ABDC’s Saltare

At the start of America’s Best Dance Crew’s Season 5, Saltare proclaimed that they were on a mission to show the world how vigorous of a sport jump roping is. After watching them leap through fire onstage, I’m convinced!

Today, they’re on a different mission that may require even more persistence, however: teaching me how to jump off the floor with my bottom.

Sound simple? Watch the vid, and tell me how quickly you pick up the move at home!

How 2009 Hooked Up ‘Talk Of Fame’

I entered January 2009 hoping that the following 12 months would usher in significant growth in quality and access for Talk of Fame. ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ Season 5 Audition Callbacks

America’s Best Dance Crew returns to MTV with its fifth season on January 28th.

But since I can’t wait that long for a glimpse of the next round of talent, I swung by the LA audition callbacks to get the scoop on Klaamation, Poreotics, Destined 2 Be, Rumba-ta, Beat Squad and One Nation Crew.

Depending on the crews chosen, I’m confident that MTV has the potential to raise the bar for ABDC this season. Is there anyone in this segment that you’re crossing your fingers for?

Onstage At The ‘ABDC’ 4 Finale

After the confetti fell during America’s Best Dance Crew’s live finale this week, I grabbed some time with several of the on-camera and behind-the-scenes stars of the season including competitors Rhythm City and Afroborike, judge Shane Sparks, choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha, Exec. Producer Randy Jackson, and grand prize winners We Are Heroes.

This season’s crew lineup was the most diverse that we’d seen on the ABDC stage – so I’m curious about the tricks that Mr. Jackson has stored up for the next go round!

Breaking With ‘ABDC’s Massive Monkees

As the relegated b-boys of the season, the Massive Monkees left tons of America’s Best Dance Crew viewers bewildered when they were sent packing this week.

Their ouster was such a shock, in fact, that I did a little investigative work and uncovered a steroids conspiracy that may (or may not have!) played a factor within their elimination – it’s all in the interview, hehe!

After the heavy stuff, the crew helped me to summon my inner breaker, and the results weren’t so shabby!!

The Monkees will return for the ABDC live finale this Sunday at 9/8c on MTV.

A Shablam Move With ‘ABDC’s Vogue Evolution

In my session with the recent America’s Best Dance Crew eliminees, Vogue Evolution reveals their reaction to Internet criticism, what distinguishes their mission from those of other crews, and why they feel like they actually won the competition!

Then comes the dancing! And if you thought that the Fly Khicks pushed me to the limit with their chair-split, you’ll flip as Leiomy challenges me to execute her signature shablam move!

After you watch the segment, check out what MTV.com has to say about it right here!
