My buddies at Jordanah, Inc. produced an outdoor ice skating event at ICE in Santa Monica on Tuesday to celebrate Fox’s Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Blu-ray and DVD release. And since my hometown friend Breigh was visiting me this week, a trip to the skating rink proved to be an unexpected way for me to share LA’s whimsical spirit with her!

The location was teeming with Ice Age related activities, but  I was most impressed with the giant ice sculpture of the film’s Scrat character that Fox commissioned to break the Guinness World Record for Tallest Ice Sculpture.

While I latched onto the wall for most of our time on the ice (I’m a beginner!), Breigh flexed her skating skills by lapping me more times than I can recount – our photos are fused together below.

Lesson learned: I should get some private practice in before I head back out on the ice in public!
