At Last, Britney Spears’ ‘Radar’
For almost 2 years, Britney Spears‘ “Radar” has been patiently waiting to be recognized as the ubiquitous jam that it desires to be. It immediately stood out as a highlight on Britney’s Blackout album, but when Britney’s camp neglected to release as a single, I feared that we’d lost it as a potential radio smash.
When “Radar” popped up again as a bonus track on Circus, I was slightly confused but hopeful that the song might see the light of day. So it is with much relief that I share with you the official “Radar” music video!
Initially, I imagined that the video would take place within a submarine as Britney plays a game of cat and mouse with a love interest who’s aboard another craft – kinda like Battleship. But this Kentucky Derby/polo motif works. Plus, the iPhone map usage at the beginning is a smooth way to incorporate the mandatory cell phone cameo.
